The people that follow are kind, caring friendly team at Jus' Dance... Be warned: some of them are a little feral and/or scary (he he)!
Jenny is the principal teacher and owner of the Jus' Dance studio. She has a very strong relationship with all of the teachers and helpers, and is a wonderful person! She is helpful and very easy to learn from, and makes the studio the place it is.
Responsible for teaching most of the teachers and helpers everything they know about dancing, she has done so much to build up the studio, and its people.
Everyone loves her for her generosity, and her sheer dancing skill. She always has someway to improve your dancing skill!
Neil is the Beginners Teacher of the studio. His friendly nature make classes pleasant to be part of. He enjoys giving beginners a chance to feel the dance, as opposed to simply “stepping it out”, and is always there with handy hints for those that dance with him. Continually learning himself, he presents what he knows to people in simple terms so that everyone can understand it.
He enjoys dancing immensely and endeavours to help even those people who have “two left feet” so that they too can have his passion for dancing.
His trademark, the Wiggle, has become a tradition at the studio.
Justine is the Hip Hop teacher at our studio, and is a very talented and experienced dancer. She has been dancing for about 15 years doing tap, jazz, acrobatics and hip hop, and has been in many professional shows. To date, she has also received a number of awards for her skills in choreography.
Through her years of schooling, she achieved highly commended standards in her Dance subjects, and is about to take her student teachers exam. She creates her own routines and teaches them in a very practical way.
Justine enjoys teaching because she can watch students progress and have fun.
Megan is often seen as Neil's helper in his social classes, and yet she also takes private lessons too.
She is a brilliant dancer looking to enter into competitive DanceSport, but until she does, she progresses on with her medals, and learns more and more about dancing.
Megan enjoys dancing, and is a very patient teacher. She works methodically, breaking down steps and style until her students understand their footwork.
Jenny D, not to be confused with Jenny C, is our receptionist and secretary. She is wonderful and we love her for her brilliance on the door, and her kind and caring nature.
She can also be seen helping through out the studio in classes and acting as a bit of a fill in teacher when there is a dire need.
She does an amazing job and she makes the studio that little bit more fun to be in too.
Heather is a great help in the Tuesday Ballroom social class, both beginners and improvers levels. Having completed medals previously, she is often seen guiding those through that struggle a little with the steps.
Skilled in both the male and female steps, she has the very interesting ability to swap between the two and be an excellent help in class. The Tuesday night class would not be as easy with out “Our Heather”.
Nat is a newly recognised helper, despite the fact she has been helping at the studio for some months. Dancing as a boy with a number of girls, she helps us out by simply giving us an extra hand where Neil and Megs have two each...
Similarly to Jenny D, Nat jumps in as a helper if there are problems with absenteeism.
Megan's mum, and another helper around the studio. From dancing with the girls to taking private lessons, Katrina is starting into the world of Jus' Dance helping.
Currently taking her medals, she grows every time she steps into a lesson.
Go for gold, Katrina!
Sharon Hitchcock joined Jus’ Dance in February this year. She brings with her a well balanced and extensive dancing skill that will enhance the already significant experience of the studio.
Sharon started dancing at the age of 7 and commenced helping out with kid’s classes when she was 15. Sharon then progressed to teaching medallists and Dancesport couples at a studio in the Cannington area.
Sharon was a competitor in Dancesport for many years and won the Australian Title in New Vogue in 1984. She has also completed her Golden Awards level Medals for Latin and Modern.
Sharon is taking social and Medals classes in Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue during the week and is available to take private lessons, with prior arrangement.
We would like to welcome Sharon to the studio.
